Attending the event were Vice Secretary of the Party Committee cum Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, Nguyen Phuoc Loc; former Vice Secretary of the Party Committee of the city, Vo Thi Dung; Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission Nguyen Manh Cuong; Vice Chairman of the HCMC People’s Council, Huynh Thanh Nhan; Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee, Nguyen Van Dung.
The Nguyen Tieu Festival, usually taking place in the middle of the first lunar month in District 5, was recognized as a national intangible cultural heritage in 2020 by the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism and is one of the outstanding cultural and artistic events and festivals in Ho Chi Minh City.
