An exhibition on the royal treasures of the Nguyen Dynasty (1802-1945) was opened at the Hue Museum of Royal Antiques on December 6.
The event is co-organized by the Vietnam National Museum of History and the Hue Monuments Conservation Center (HMCC).
The event displays 60 royal objects belonging to the Nguyen Dynasty which were made of gold, bronze, elephant’s tusk, precious stones and pearls.
Phan Thanh Hai, Director of the HMCC said that, most of the royal treasures were transferred to Hanoi and conserved in the capital after the Nguyen Dynasty ended in 1945 to ensure the safety for royal treasures during the war
The exhibition offers the public a closer view of Nguyen dynasty’s royal objects, which have been preserved carefully. The event will run until January 5.
