Hundreds of young people took part in the festival “ Young people in city named Uncle Ho” held by the humanitarian blood donation center in Ho Chi Minh City to supply more blood into the city's blood bank.
Though typhoon Usagi was hitting the city, many youths joined the festival. Chairman of Pink Journey Club Huynh Van Hieu said the festival is unscheduled event, aiming to supply blood for saving people since the Blood Transfusion Hematology Hospital announced it is running out of blood for emergency treatment.
The blood donation has met half of the demand of infirmaries.
