Specifically, some sections of the National Highway No.48E in the central province of Nghe An was submerged under from 0.4 meter to 2.2 meters of water while the National Highway No.15 was submerged from 1.27 meter to 1.4 meter; some waterlogged sections of the National Highway No.16 suffered landslide unsafe for drivers.
In Quang Ninh Province, path to But mountain pass connecting Ha Long city and Cam Pha town was under nearly 2 meters of water causing breakdown of many motorcycles.
Meanwhile the National Highway No.6 in Hoa Binh Province was inundated in one meter of water. It is estimated floodwater will subside after three days. The heavy downpour also submerged highways and interior roads for hours, throwing vehicular traffic out of gear in the section of the highway through Luong Son District.
Rainfall has led to water-logging in several parts of the National Highway No.32 through Phu Tho and Yen Bai Provinces.
Maintenance teams worked relentlessly to instruct drivers for their safety as well as repaired eroded highways.
