The 8th National Chemistry Contest held in Can Tho University attracted participation of 198 university and college students on April 6.
The annual contest is hosted by the Vietnam Chemistry Association and Can Tho University to promote chemistry students to enhance their research skills for further industrialization and modernization.
Contestants will compete in two sections: a 180-minute theory test, and a 180-minute experiment.
There will be 18 first-place prizes, 39 second- place prizes, and 44 third-place prizes.
There are three times more schools and four times contestants this year than the first contest, said Mai Ngoc Truc, deputy head of the Vietnam Chemistry Association.
The event takes place April 6-9.
