The preliminary round and semi-finals for Miss Vietnam Ocean 2014 will be held in Hanoi on April 20 and in Ho Chi Minh City on April 25.
The final round will take place in Phan Thiet City, Binh Thuan Province on May 10-23.
The winner will receive a cash prize of VND400 million and a crown worth VND1.6 billion. The runner-up winners will receive cash prizes and valuable rewards costing VND200 million and VND150 million.
The pageant aims to raise awareness of marine environmental issues, said event organizers Binh Thuan Province.
The competition is the first of its kind in Vietnam and is organized within the guidelines of the Blue Ocean World Project launched in cooperation with the Vietnam’s Environmental Protection Fund.
