Two Vietnamese models, Tran Thi Huong Giang and Duong Thi My Linh, have left for the 2009 Miss Vietnam Global pageant.

With the first event on June 7, the two will have to quickly join other 28 international Vietnamese women.
The first event is a recording show of their makeup and hair designs in the afternoon
Following June 7, over the next coming days, the contestants will have various events, including a photoshoot wearing ao dai, swimwear and a judges’ interview.
The final show will start at 8pm June 13 (local time) at the MGM Grand Resort.
It will welcome performances by various Vietnamese artistes from around the world, like Mai Phuong Thuy, Quang Dung, Thu Phuong, Hoai Linh, Manh Quynh, Phan Dinh Tung, Khac Trieu, Cam Van, Danny Dzung, and Trina Bao Tran.
Two special guests at the show will be Miss Vietnam Global 2008 Donna Vo and Miss Vietnam Global 2007 Jennifer Le.

When asked about preparations for the contest, Miss Hai Duong 2006 Tran Thi Huong Giang said, “Everything is quite okay now. I really appreciate the PL’s [model agency] director Ta Nguyen Phuc who made a lot of effort in my training. I also spent a lot of time on improving my English.”
She said she did not feel the pressure to be crowned.
“The winner is not the one who has talent only but also needs to have a little luck,” Miss Giang confided.
Miss Vietnam Global pageant is a search for the most talented and beautiful Vietnamese from around the world.
The event is held by the US-based MFC Media at Las Vegas’ MGM and runs from June 7 to June 13.
