Hoang Thu Thao arrived in South Korea and joined sideline activities of the contest, such as shooting, exchanges, promoting Korean cuisine and tourism.
Thao, 1994, graduated from the Vietnam Marine University. The 1.72 meter tall beauty represented Vietnam at international beauty contests, including Asia Pacific International 2016 in the Philippines and Miss Tourism Queen of the Year International 2016 in China.
The Miss Global Beauty Queen 2017 akes place from October 2 to October 20, in South Korea.
Vietnamese model Nguyen Thi Ngoc Duyen won the Miss Global Beauty Queen 2016 held in the Republic of Korea. Duyen became the first Vietnamese to win an international beauty pageant, following Thuy Van named as the third runner-up at the Miss International pageant 2015 in Japan.
