Mekong's trade & tourism fair 2015 opened

The Steering Committee of the west- southern region in collaboration with the People’s Committee of Can Tho city and relevant ministries, agencies held an opening ceremony of the 2015 Mekong Delta trade and tourism fair on June 27.

The fair is part of Mekong Delta Green Tourism Week that has taken place from June 27 to July 3, with attendance of 1, 030 booths from ministries, departments, firms from the west southern region and Mekong sub-region countries.

Through the fair, the organization board created a favorable chance for businessmen in Mekong Delta region in seeking partners, and promoting further the regional tourism advertises to its potential customers.  

Within the framework of Mekong Delta Green Tourism Week, Green Planet Airways Joint Stock Company, a member of club of Vietnam Airlines introduced two twin -seat helicopter Rotorway A600.

On the same day, the organization board also launched the biggest hot pot event, cooked by famous chef Pham Tuan Hai and over 300 chefs and cookers from restaurants, hotels in the Mekong Delta region. The event attracted more than 2, 000 visitors.

By the evening yesterday, 30 regional beautiful contestants took part in the 2015 Miss Mekong Delta Pageant in Can Tho city.

The organizers decided on this occasion to offer the title of the  2015 Miss Mekong Delta to Nguyen Thi Le Nam Em  from Tien Giang province after several rounds of competition like Ao dai (Vietnamese traditional press), Ao ba ba (Vietnamese silk pajamas), swimsuit and freestyle. The winner received a cash prize of VND300 million.

The first runner-up title went to Nguyen Huynh Truc Mai from Binh Duong, and the second runner – up to Vuong Thanh tuyen from Can Tho city.

Besides, the organization board awarded the other titles, including Miss Body, Miss Beautiful Face, Miss Talent, Miss Beautiful Skin, Miss Ao dai, Miss Best Answer and Miss Mekong Delta Tourism.
