A week of Japanese films delivering a better appreciation of contemporary Japanese culture to Vietnamese audiences will take place in Ho Chi Minh City and the coastal city of Nha Trang in October.

Eight films (Vietnamese voice-over, English subtitle) including “Happy Flight”, “Rashomon”, “Tony Takitani”, “Kamikaze Girls”, “Sansho the Bailiff”, “5 centimetres per second” catoon, “Yunagi City, Sakura Country” and “Memories of Tomorrow” will be screened free at BHD Star Cinema in Ho Chi Minh City from October 8 to14 and a cinema at 10 Hoang Hoa Tham Street in Nha Trang from October 22-24.
With the support of the Japanese Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City and the Japan Foundation, the film show aims to open communication and the exchange of ideas between Japan and Vietnam.
Tickets are available at the Consulate General of Japan at 13 - 17, Nguyen Hue Street, District 1 in Ho Chi Minh City and 10 Hoang Hoa Tham Street in Nha Trang.
