Japan donates 200 sakura trees to Hanoi for cultural exchange festival

200 cherry trees and 10,000 branches of cherry blossoms have been transported to Hanoi for an exhibition which will be held at Ly Thai Tho Park in Hanoi on March 19-20.

The event is part of cultural exchange activities celebrating  the 43th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Vietnam and Japan.

A series of cultural activities will be organized during the event, including Japanese art of flower arrangement, Japanese film screening, martial arts and dragon dance performance.

Japanese art troupes, such as the drum club of Sagamihara Secondary School, Japanese idol group Momoiro Cloverz, singer Mizuki Ichiro.

200 sakura trees will be replanted in Hoa Binh Park located in the northwest of the city.
