Resolution No.24 of the Politburo and the extension of Resolution No.54 of the NA are a solid political basis for Ho Chi Minh City's determination to move forward in a new spirit and mindset.

Ho Chi Minh City will accelerate the progress of urban railway No. 1 so that it can be put on trial run by the end of 2022 and it is slated for commercial operation in 2023. Moreover, the city is completing formality for the start of new metro line construction as well as accelerating the progress of anti-flood projects, said Chairman of the HCMC People’s Committee Phan Van Mai.
The recent land prices rush in Vietnam is mainly caused by real estate wholesalers, who boast prices and make people believe that prices would continue to rise if they don’t make investment soon enough. This leads real estate investors to purchase lands in order to try and cash in on the waves of upcoming infrastructure projects.
Many major infrastructure projects under HCMC’s traffic jam and accident reduction program are scheduled to implement this year but experts have expressed concern about funds for these projects amid currently limited capital resources.
