The nine-day Hue Festival 2012 attracted almost two million visitors to Hue City, 90,000 of who were foreign visitors, mainly from Thailand, France, Australia and Germany.

This was announced by the People’s Committee of Thua Thien-Hue Province on Monday at a press conference to review the successful outcome of the Festival.
According to Ngo Hoa, chairman of the People’s Committee and head of the Hue Festival Organising Committee, the Festival brought together over 65 artist delegations from 27 nations across five continents, introducing several unique and spectacular art performances.
Hue Festival 2012 was vibrant with activities during its nine days. Festivities lured over two million attendees, over 189,000 visitors including 90,000 foreigners.
The Festival also saw attendance of nearly 700 reporters from 124 domestic and foreign press agencies.
At the press conference, Ngo Hoa revealed that the next Hue Festival will open on Saturday, April 4, 2014.
