High tide to exceed warning level 3 on Saigon River

Water level on Cuu Long (Mekong) and Sai Gon river has been following high tides, reported the National Hydrology Meteorology Center on December 19.

Today, the highest water level at monitoring stations of Tan Chau, My Thuan, Chau Doc and Phu An could gain 1.63 meters, 1.36 meters, 1.76 meters and 1.36 meters respectively.

Rise of water level on Cuu Long and Sai Gon rivers is forecast to continue and exceed warning level 3 from December 23- 25.

The Center also warned of flooding in low- lying areas of Ho Chi Minh City.
