Ho Chi Minh City Department of Preventive Medicine said that the city reported three more patients who ontracted with the mosquito-borne virus.
The three more patients have brought the total number of infection cases to 20 in the city.
As per director of the municipal Department of Preventive Medicine Nguyen Tri Dung, 11 out of 24 districts in HCMC recorded infection cases with two cases in district 2, 4 respectively; one in district 5, 10, Hoc Mon, Can Gio and Binh Tan respectively; three in district 9, 12, Binh Thanh respectively.
District 12 has three cases including a pregnant woman. Health workers has sprayed chemicals to disinfect the affected area.
Following the development of the disease, the Department of Health has set up six inspection teams in 24 districts. The department also proposed people’s committees to announce district-level epidemic.
