HCMC seeks central permission to develop new urban area in District 2

The People’s Committee of HCMC has sent a document to the Ministry of Construction seeking approval to build Saigon An Binh urban area in An Phu ward, District 2.

The People’s Committee of HCMC has sent a document to the Ministry of Construction seeking approval to build Saigon An Binh urban area in An Phu ward, District 2.

The 117.4 hectare project’s assessment comes within the jurisdiction of the ministry while approval falls within the competence of the Prime Minister.

Investor Saigon Investment and Development Company said the company would develop a housing site with good living environment, meeting the demand of 37,000 citizens.

If the project is approved, the company will build houses, buildings, public areas and works as well as technical infrastructures in line with the city’s plan.

The project is expected to be built within eight years since being approved with the total capital of VND24,347 billion (US$1.07 billion).
