The Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee April 28 appointed personnel of a new state-run children hospital in the city’s district Binh Chanh.
Under the decision, doctor Nguyen Ngoc Duy, head of Planning Ward of the city’s Department of Health, was appointed the director of the new children clinic.
The new children hospital with 1,000 beds will be constructed in district Binh Chanh to reduce pressure on the Ho Chi Minh City-based Children Hospital I and II.
Along with the new children facility, five other hospitals will be built in the beginning of 2011.
