HBSO presents chamber music concert of lesser known compositions

The Ho Chi Minh City Ballet Symphony Orchestra and Opera (HBSO) will present a chamber music concert at the HCM City Opera House on October 9.

In this concert, the organizer will bring to tusic lovers lesser known works by little-known composers such as Moritz Moszkowski (Suite for Two Violins and Piano) and Henrich Baermann (Adagio for Clarinet and Strings), Kodaly’s Serenade for Two Violins and Viola, Schumann’s Two Fantasy Pieces for Cello and Piano and Prokofiev’s Overture on Hebrew Themes for Clarinet, String Quartet and Piano.
The second part will feature three pieces that require a string orchestra, and the concert ends with Elgar’s Serenade for Strings in E Minorin which there are no soloists at all.
They will be performed by viola player Pham Vu Thien Bao, Meritorious Artist Nguyen Tan Anh (cello), violinist Le Minh Hien, pianist Ju Sun Young, and the concertmaster of the HBSO Orchestra, Tang Thanh Nam under the baton of conductor Tran Nhat Minh.
