A new cold front is moving to the northern region of Vietnam, reported the National Hydrology Meteorology Forecast Center yesterday.

Today, the damaged cold causing drizzly weather started affecting to the northern and central provinces on the large scale.
The temperature in Hanoi is dropped to only 13- 14 degrees Celsius; meanwhile the temperature in the northern mountain region was measured at 3- 6 degrees Celsius this morning.
The temperature in Ho Chi Minh City maintained at 23- 36 degrees Celsius. At this weekend, showery weather was forecasted to occur in the area although extreme dry weather condition will shoulder over the southern region on the large scale.
Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Cao Duc Phat has surveyed in some place of southern and south central provinces to plan measures for dealing with the drought that is occurring in the region.
The Deputy Prime Minister required the Central Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control to keep close watch and adopt necessary measures to deal with saltwater influx and drought as now.
