The singer’s career and life will be honored in the musical show In The Spotlight at the National Convention Center in the capital on September 12 and at Hoa Binh Theater in Ho Chi Minh City on 18.
Singers Uyen Linh, Van Mai Huong and Duong Hoang Yen will join the event.
Peabo Bryson is well known for singing soft-rock ballads, often as a duo with female singers and his contribution to several Disney animated feature soundtracks, such as A Whole New World from Aladdin which he performed with Regina Belle, Tonight I Celebrate My Love that he recorded with Roberta Flack, and Beauty And The Beast that he sang with Celine Dion.
Bryson won his first Grammy Award for Beauty and the Beast in 1991. He received another Grammy for A Whole New World from Aladdin in 1992.
Born in 1951 in Greenville, South Carolina, Peabo Bryson has released 21 albums that truly penetrated the hearts of soul fans everywhere.
