French singer Christophe performs in City

A concert featuring a leading French singer, Christophe, will be held at the Hoa Binh Theater in Ho Chi Minh City on November 23, marking the 40th anniversary of Vietnam-France diplomatic ties.

French singer and songwriter Christophe will play guitar and piano, and perform about 20 retrospective songs from his 50-year career such as Aline, Les Marionnettes and Les Mots Bleus.

Christophe's first hit was Aline in 1965. He is famous for ‘Oh Mon Amour’ that he sang in French and Italian. His songs are regarded as French musical heritage.
The veteran French singer will be onstage together with local voices including Elvis Phuong, My Linh and Dong Lan.

All proceeds of the Christophe Live Concert will be donated to the Poussières de Vie charity project supporting street children in Ho Chi Minh City and in Kon Tum Province, informed Fabrice Mauries, Consul General of France in Ho Chi Minh City.
