After one month of launching, the ‘Public space design contest for an exciting Hanoi’ had received positive supports from professionals, civil society organizations, students, and especially the local citizens of Hang Ma and Trang Tien wards.
This contest had received more than 50 applications from students and civil society organizations, on public space innovation initiatives at Dinh Le – Nguyen Xi and Phung Hung streets. With consultation from Jury Panel, six applications had been awarded in initiative and implementation category.
In order to encourage local community, individuals and organizations for their further participation and contribution for cultural and spiritual life of Hanoi in general, and Hoan Kiem district in particular, UN-Habitat, in association with Ha Noi Architect Association and Live & Learn will organize the exhibition and awarding ceremony for ‘For an exciting Hanoi – Public space design contest’, consisted of awarding ceremony for architectural works in ‘For an exciting Hanoi – Public space design contest’, brief introduction of Public Space Proposal for Hoan Kiem District, Ha Noi, developed by UN-Habitat, Hoan Kiem District People’s Committee, Ha Noi Architect Association and partners and exhibition, display of architectural works related to the above activities and public space activities at Phung Hung street (from Le Van Linh intersection to Hang Cot street) and pedestrianized street around Hoan Kiem lake.
