European Film Festival 2011 will be held in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City on May 16-29 as part of Europe Days 2011.

The film festival will present to Vietnamese audiences 13 movies including Chameleon (Hungary), Sweet Rush (Poland), Pans Labyrinth (Spain), El Greco (Greece) and Ganz Nah Bei Dir (Germany) - a comedy, drama and love story by director Almut Getto.

The event is considered as one of the most successful annual cultural events held by the European Union in Vietnam. The event is expected to leave a deep impression on Vietnamese audience. Last year, the film show attracted more than 8,000 people in the big cities.

The films will be screened at the National Cinema Center at 87 Lang Ha in Hanoi and at Dong Da Cinema at 890 Tran Hung Dao in District 5 in Ho Chi Minh City.

Free tickets are available at the Goethe Institute, British Council and French Cultural Center L’Espace in Hanoi and Goethe Institute and British Council in Ho Chi Minh City.
