The activity aims to mark the 70th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day (July 27, 1947- 2017).
On the occasion, they attended in an inauguration ceremony of a monument to commemorate martyrs who sacrificed their lives during the Mau Than Spring campaign in 1968 and Spring-Summer Campaign in 1972 in Kon Tum province.
The construction had total investment capital of VND 950 million, which was inaugurated on the 70th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day.
Total 497 names of martyrs were listed in the monument.
At the ceremony, Deputy PM Vu Duc Dam and provincial leaders cut a ribbon to inaugurate the monument, and burnt incense to express their deep gratitude to the martyrs.
On the same day, the delegation visited and offered gifts to Hero of People's Armed Force Y Buong and Vietnamese heroic mother Y Noi; laid wreath and burnt incense at Martyr Cemetery in Ngoc Hoi district where many Vietnamese soldiers laid down their lives in the Lao and Cambodian battlefields.
