Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Phan Van Mai presides over a meeting on the progress of activities for the 50th anniversary of Southern Liberation and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975-2025).

The plan highlights communication promotion based on digital technology platforms and social media, notably the connection with highly influential content creators and multi-channel networks (MCMs).

Vice Chairwoman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Tran Thi Dieu Thuy has just signed to issue the communication plan for the commemorative activities of the 50th anniversary of Southern Liberation and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975-2025).

The communication plan will start in February and conclude in April 2025, requiring providing timely, accurate, practical information that is suitable for different individuals; avoiding unnecessary extravagance, formalism and waste; and marking the significant milestone of Vietnam’s historic victory on April 30, 1975.

Information and communication activities should be persisted with focused contents and strategic approach by using diverse and engaging formats, ensuring creativity and innovation, and incorporating information and communication technology on the internet and social media.

The primary contents need to focus on the historical significance and the achievements of Ho Chi Minh City over the past 50 years in all fields, along with the city’s efforts in the works and programs of social welfare and gratitude for revolutionary contributors and policy-beneficiary families.

Additionally, the communication efforts will highlight Ho Chi Minh City's activities for the celebration of 50 years of the Southern Liberation and National Reunification Day.

The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee has instructed the city's Department of Information and Communications to preside over connection with influential content creators (KOLs) and multi-channel networks (MCMs) to promote communication on social media platforms. At the same time, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Information and Communications was assigned to collaborate with the Department of External Relations to promote communication through international news agencies.

Departments, agencies and People's Committees of all districts and Thu Duc City are instructed to develop and effectively implement communication activities for the celebration of 50 years of the Southern Liberation and National Reunification Day based on this plan.

At the same time, units are encouraged to implement innovative and creative communication models, enhance the application of information technology and promote digital transformation in communication activities.

These efforts aim to create a strong and widespread impact on officials, civil servants and people both domestically and internationally.
