This is an important bridge connecting Ly Nhon commune and the center of Can Gio District and Ho Chi Minh City which meets a demand of increasing transport, exploitation of tourism potentiality and socio-economic development of Can Gio District.
The Vam Sat No.2 bridge project consists of many items. Of which, the main item is construction of reinforced concrete bridge with a length of 432.7 meters, a width of 10 meters and 11 spans.
The construction project has total investment capital of more than VND 342 billion from the city budget.
It is expected to open to traffic in June 2020.
The Vam Sat No. 1 Bridge had been built and put into exploited in 2015, being replaced a cable-stayed bridge with low allowable load and 4 meter- wide bridge for one lane only.
