Nearly 100 circus artists will perform original gravity-defying acrobatic feats at the National Circus Gala 2012 which will take place at the 23/9 Park in Ho Chi Minh City from October 19-21.

The National Circus Gala 2012 will be hosted by the HCMC Circus for the first time and financed by the HCMC Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
The event will mark Vietnamese Women’s Day on October 20, and will be a prelude to the International Circus Festival 2012, which will take place in Hanoi in November.
Meritorious artist Minh Tuan from the central region will introduce original and new legerdemain skills.
Clown artists from Hanoi like Manh Cuong, Ta Duy Anh and Tien Hung will perform humorous and funny items. Artist Minh Son will perform vase juggling with his head.
The HCMC Circus will introduce seven young talents from 16-20 years of age, who will perform on the high wire at the event.
Circus lovers will also have a chance to enjoy performances that have won national and international awards in recent years. Circus animals like pythons, monkeys, bears and dogs will perform their various tricks.
Ho Van Thanh, head of the HCMC Circus, said that the National Circus Gala 2012 will be the final program they organize at the 23/9 Park after 12 years of performing there. After the gala, they will have to move to another location to make room for the City to build a coach station there.
