Director of HCMC Tourism Department Bui Ta Hoang Vu said that the city welcomed around 2.8 million travelers in the first six months of the year with total tourist turnover of nearly VND 54 trillion, increased 12 percent in comparison with the same period.
Presently, around 94,000 employees work in the city’s tourist industry. Thus, the city needs to strengthen further human resource training and development.
