Ho Chi Minh City has currently three completed projects and 24 ongoing projects at a total investment of VND119.83 trillion, of which ODA capital accounts for about VND98.06 trillion while reciprocal capital accounts for nearly VND21.77 trillion.
The City disbursed VND6.5 trillion with ODA capital accounting for VND6 trillion and reciprocal capital for VND500 billion.
Generally, the progress rate of implementation and disbursement of major projects was quite steady, such as the East-West Highway; the first phase of water improvement project in Tau Hu, Ben Nghe, Doi, and Te Canals; and environment sanitation project in Nhieu Loc and Thi Nghe Canals.
However, there were still some problems that hindered the progress of implementation and disbursement of ODA projects, such as site clearance, compensation, and dispute between some contractors and investors.
