Hoang Anh Gia Lai Joint Stock Company (HAG) announced that in the first six months of this year, the company revenue was more than VND1.41 trillion, and post-tax profit was VND455 billion, up 23.7 percent and 195.8 percent, respectively, year-on-year, accounting for 39.2 percent and 45.1 percent of this year’s plan.
Saigon Thuong Tin Commercial Joint Stock Bank (STB) announced its six-month profit at nearly VND1.15 trillion, accounting for 54 percent of this year’s plan. Of which, profit from lending rose 8.7 percent compared to the second quarter of last year to VND1.63 trillion; profit from services climbed 9.1 percent to VND239.17 billion; and profit from securities was at VND84.3 billion while it lost VND43.4 billion in the same period last year. By June 30, 2013, total asset of STB reached VND160,503 billion, up 5.5 percent compared to the same period last year.
Rang Dong Light Source and Vacuum Flask JSC (RAL) announced that it will advance dividends for the first term of this year in cash at a ratio of 15 percent on September 11. In the first half of this year, RAL reached revenue of more than VND1 trillion, and post-tax profit of VND48.7 billion, up 28 percent year-on-year. In the second quarter alone, its post-tax profit soared 241 percent compared to the second quarter of last year, hitting VND21.4 billion.
Urban Development & Construction Corporation (UDC) approved solution to sell Bau Sen Apartment project and if the company fails to sell the project, it will be changed into social housing. In the second quarter of this year, UDC saw revenue of VND92.1 billion, and losses of VND620 million. In the first half of this year, its revenue reached VND159.8 billion and net profit was at VND660 million.
An Giang Fisheries Import Export JSC (AGF) announced that in the second quarter of this year, the company posted revenue of VND861.9 billion, and post-tax profit of VND6.3 billion, up 9.9 percent and 25.5 percent, respectively, compared to the second quarter of last year. In the first half of this year, the company’s net revenue exceeded VND1.5 trillion, post-tax profit touched VND23 billion, achieving 25 percent of this year’s plan, and earning per share was at VND1,796.
Viet-Han Corporation (VHG) announced that in the first half of this year, its revenue was at VND95.6 billion, up 2.1 percent year-on-year, and post-tax profit at VND55.5 billion while it suffered a loss of VND16.2 billion in the same period last year. In the second quarter of this year alone, its net profit hit VND64 billion whereas it had lost for past eight consecutive quarters.
