FPT Securities Joint Stock Company (FPTS) announced that their post-tax profit in the second quarter of the year was down 50 percent year-on-year, at VND23.6 billion. Six-month-accumulated post-tax profit reached VND46.6 billion, down 42.7 percent year-on-year. Profit dropped as interest rate in banks fell drastically and the company charged lower brokerage fee from clients who did online transactions.
Vingroup Joint Stock Company (VIC) announced establishment of VINPM Professional Real Estate Services and Management Company with a charter capital of VND6 billion at Long Bien District in Hanoi, increasing the number of its subsidiaries and joint-venture companies to 24.

Garmex Saigon Joint Stock Company (GMC) announced that it stopped operation of its branch in Binh Chanh District as the lease of its premises had expired. In 2012, the company reached revenue of VND1.08 trillion and profit of VND51.7 billion, up 22 percent and 20 percent compared to last year. In the first quarter of this year, the company revenue was VND212.6 billion with post-tax profit of VND11.1 billion.
Rang Dong Light Source and Vacuum Flask JSC (RAL) announced that it saw revenue of more than VND1 trillion and post-tax profit of VND48.7 billion in the first half of this year, up 28 percent year-on-year. In the second quarter alone, revenue was at VND405.2 billion and post-tax profit was at VND21.4 billion, up 241 percent year-on-year as financial revenue soared while other expenses dropped sharply.
PetroVietnam Low Pressure Gas Distribution JSC (PGD) announced its financial statement for the second quarter of this year with revenue exceeding VND1.64 trillion, an increase of 1.5 percent year-on-year; post-tax profit at VND81.4 billion, down 70 percent year-on-year. In the first half of this year, the company saw revenue at VND3.04 trillion, up 15 percent, but post-tax profit was at VND143 billion, down 63 percent year-on-year.
