Badminton players from China swept the titles at the Vietnam Grand Prix 2010 in Ho Chi Minh City, staged on October 5-10 with the participation of over 270 players across the world.
Unseeded Chen Yuekun from China beat Hong Kong’s Wei Nan 21-13, 21-14 Sunday to win the men’s singles title in his first appearance at Phan Dinh Phung Indoor Stadium in District 3 on Sunday.
World No. 8 Nguyen Tien Minh of Vietnam, who was the first seed, stopped at the quarterfinal round of the US$50,000 tournament on Friday. This will result in a drop in his world ranking.

China's fifth-seeded Ma Jin and Zhong Qianxin beat teammates Tang Jinua and Xia Huan to claim the women's doubles.
In the mixed doubles, Ma Jin and He Hanbin then thrashed Hong Kong second-seeded duo Wiratama Yohan Hadikusumo and Tse Ying Suet 21-18, 21-11 to bag the title.
World No. 1 Ma Jin of China, 22, earlier won the mixed doubles title at the World Badminton Championships in Paris two months ago.
Thai youngster Ratchanok Inthanon won the only title for Thailand yesterday as she overcame unseeded Zhou Hui from China in the women's singles final 21-17, 22-20.
Meanwhile, Indonesian duo Ashan Mohamad and Septano Bona edged past Mohd Tazari Mohd Fairuzizuan and Ong Soon Hock of Malaysia, 21-18, 13-21, 21-17 in the men's doubles final.
This year, the players competing in the Vietnam Grand Prix came from Australia, Austria, Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Kazakhstan, Laos, Malaysia, the Philippines, South Africa, Russia, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, USA, Vietnam and the Wales. Among them were 170 men.
