The Central region yesterday sweltered a record-breaking temperature of above 40 degrees Celsius.
Due to an impact of the low pressure trough in combination with a hot westward low-pressure zone causing foehn wind effect, back-to-back heatwaves continues to threaten to the central provinces on the large scale, with a peak temperature of above 40- 41 degrees Celsius until next week.
Meanwhile, the Northern region is enjoying more comfortable weather condition with sudden heavy downpours; however, scorching temperature is predicted to return in the area from June 27.
From June 24 to July 3, risks of showers, thunderstorm, cyclone, lightning and gusty wind are warned in the Southern region including Ho Chi Minh City.
