Asia-Europe Short Film Contest is open for submissions from now until April 9, for a citizen of any of the 46 ASEM countries, between the ages of 18 and 35.
The contest is being organised by the Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF), in partnership with NYU Tisch School of Arts-Asia and the National Library Board of Singapore.
Participants can upload their short films by registering on the website: http://www.asef.org/index.php/shorts by April 9.
Jury members will shortlist the finalists to choose four winners.
An additional winning film will be chosen by the public via online voting.
Winners will each receive a paid trip to Singapore, including three nights in a hotel, to receive their award and to attend a two-day international filmmaking workshop at the NYU Tisch School of Arts-Asia in Singapore.
The winner of the first prize in the contest will also receive a cash prize of SGD5000.
All submitted short films will be screened for the international public in Asia and Europe at different ASEF events.
The Short Films Contest Awards Ceremony will be held in Singapore on May 17.
