Deputy Chairman of the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City Le Van Khoa attended in the ASEAN + 3 young businessmen forum in the city on December 12.
The event was co- organized by the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee and Vietnam Youth Union.
Around 64 Vietnamese young enterprises and leaders, youth agencies, outstanding young people from 10 ASEAN member countries and the Republic of Korea, Japan and China gathered in the large scale forum in order to exchange and share their business strategies towards sustainable development for ASEAN Economic Community, heighten awareness of Vietnamese young generation about ASEAN countries that defined its target and pledged of the establishment of regional enterprise network.
ASEAN+3 young businessmen forum takes place in advance of ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) is to prepare for its establishment on December 31.
The establishment of AEC will bring development opportunity for the countries with low growth rate and small and medium enterprises as Vietnam by removing customs tariff barrier and creating jobs for employees. On the other hand, the competitiveness between local and foreign companies is predicted to increase higher about cargo and workers with high -level professional skills.
At the forum, the delegates affirmed: “The young enterprises are considered as a pioneer force in the establishment of AEC in particular and ASEAN economic community towards sustainable development in general. Thus, they should catch up well the future opportunity to develop their countries”.
On the same day, Deputy Chairman of the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City Le Thanh Liem met delegation leaders who attended in the ASEAN+3 young businessmen forum.
Mr. Le Thanh Liem appreciated the organization of ASEAN +3 forum by the National Committee Youth of Vietnam, Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee and Vietnam Youth Union; and expressed his pleasure as Ho Chi Minh City hosted the large scale event.
“Ho Chi Minh City will continue to tighten good relations with provinces and cities in particular and ASEAN member countries in general aiming to develop ASEAN sustainable community”, hoped Mr. Le Thanh Liem.
