On August 21, Lieutenant General Le Van Huong, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army (VPA), inspected and encouraged military and police contingents rehearsing for the political arts program "National Concert: Fatherland in Our Hearts 2026" at Van Phuc City in Ho Chi Minh City.
During the inspection, Lt. Gen. Le Van Huong commended the dedication and resilience of officers and soldiers participating in the event, highlighting it as a vital political mission that showcases the prestige, strength, and pride of the Vietnam People's Army.
Despite intense heat punctuated by sudden downpours in Ho Chi Minh City, he urged personnel to maintain sharp focus, overcome physical and weather-related strain, and execute flawless drill formations to ensure overall performance readiness.
On behalf of the General Staff leadership, Lt. Gen. Le Van Huong presented gifts to the troops and instructed unit leaders to ensure proper healthcare, logistics, and well-being throughout the joint training phase.
Armed forces personnel continued refining their drill synchronization on August 21 ahead of the main performance, scheduled for 8:00 p.m. on August 23 at Van Phuc City.
The show features six specialized military and police contingents, including Honor Guard of Regiment 275 under the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Guard Command; the Officers’ Formation representing the five military branches; the Male People’s Security Officers’ Formation; the Southern Female Guerrillas’ Formation; the Female Officers and Soldiers’ Formation of the Vietnam People’s Army Peacekeeping Force; and the Female Officers’ Formation of the United Nations Peacekeeping Police Force under Police Peacekeeping Unit No. 1 of the Ministry of Public Security.
