On morning of September 30, more than 3,000 students from universities and colleges in Ho Chi Minh City participated in the opening of ‘Student Creative Festival 2012’ at the Polytechnic University in District 10 in the City.
At the festival, students showed great enthusiasm and interacted with each other while also taking part in the creative atmosphere in 10 booths offering big prizes for fun intellectual games.

The highlight of the festival was to set a Guinness record for ‘the largest logo of Youth League of HCMC formed by humans’ using 1,000 students packed together in a congested 2.400 square meter area (see photo).
The program is part of activities for ‘Student Week Innovation’, jointly organized by the Youth League, Students' Union and Student Culture House in HCMC aimed to create a useful base to enhance the creative spirits of students and to celebrate the coming Congress of HCMC Youth League.
Also on the same day, the Department of Environment under the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, and the Vinamild Company, funded the planting of 17,000 trees in Thanh Tan Commune in Tan Phuoc District in the southern province of Tien Giang.
Earlier, hundreds of thousands of trees were planted in Ho Chi Minh City, Ha Long City in Quang Ninh Province, and Son Tra District in the central province of Da Nang.
