Weekend classical music concerts planned in Hanoi, Hai Phong

A concert featuring former students of the Vietnam National Academy of Music will be held in Hanoi and Hai Phong by the Goethe Institute on November 11 and 12.

The performance will take place at the Goethe Institute on 56-58 Nguyen Thai Hoc Street in Hanoi on November 11 and at the Hai Phong Opera House on 27 Tran Hung Dao Street on November 12.

Artists include Nguyen My Huong and Nguyen Hong Anh who have earlier taken part in performances with various international orchestras. Tran Thai Linh, the second winner of the 6th A.S.K.M international piano contest will also join the event.

They will introduce to classical music lovers masterpieces by Bach, Brahms, Dvorak and Piazzolla.

In addition, a free outdoor music show titled “LUALA concert” will be held on 61 Ly Thai To Street in Hanoi from November 11.

The event is being held by LUALA concept store, which promotes luxury fashion and lifestyle products from the world’s most prestigious brands, with support of the Music Publishing House and the Vietnam National Orchestra.

The street concert will take place on Saturday (3pm-5pm) and Sunday (10am-12 pm and 3pm-5pm) every week from November 11 to January 11, 2012.

The event will give audiences an opportunity to enjoy classical music performed by professional.
