Week of Ao Dai held at HCM City Book Street

A week of Ao dai (Vietnamese traditional dress) is being held at the Book Street on Nguyen Van Binh road in Ho Chi Minh City.

The event features a collection of Ao dai by designer Trinh Hoang Dieu, younger sister of the late composer Trinh Cong Son who is one of the Vietnam’s most famous and beloved songwriters.

The display also present music lovers  writings about Trinh Cong Son, an exclusive issue of Thu tinh gui mot nguoi (Love Letter to a Person), and a book of letters and images that the musician sent to Ngo Vu Dao Anh, the leading female character in most of his songs composed in the 1964-1989 period.

In addition, a concert commemorating the late musician Trinh Cong Son will be organized on April 1.

The exhibition aims to respond the third HCM City Ao Dai Festival and honor the great musician whose love songs have won the hearts of so many fans for generations.

The event will run until April 3.
