Vinatex builds second factory in Kien Giang

Vietnam Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung and leaders of ministries, departments, agencies and the People’s Committee of Kien Giang province attended in a groundbreaking ceremony of VND 210 billion Vinatex garment factory in An Bien district of Kien Giang on March 14.

This is the second garment factory was built by the Vietnam Textile and Garment Group (Vinatex) in Kien Giang province after the VND 110 billion Vinatex factory in Go Quao district.

The factory is expected to create 2,000 jobs  for local laborers, as well as actively contribute to strengthen and develop economic growth of Kien Giang province and the neighboring provinces.

On the same day, the Prime Minister joined in a ribbon cutting ceremony to inaugurate the MDF Kien Giang wood processing plant project at Thanh Loc Industrial Park in Kien Giang.

The MDF Kien Giang wood processing factory was invested by Vietnam Rubber Group (VRG) with its investment capital of VND 1, 491 billion, including VND 1, 360 billion for factory building and infrastructure equipments, and VND 131 billion for materials.

The plant will create new job and stable income for 300 local workers.

Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung also took part in groundbreaking ceremony of the Saigon – Kien Giang brewery factory after upgrading its production capacity up to 100 million litters every year, then the PM attended in a ribbon cutting ceremony to inaugurate sport shoe export product factory of Thai Binh- Kien Giang Company.
