The Vietnam Drama Theater will present Shakespeare's Hamlet at Singapore’s Victoria Theatre and Concert Hall on March 23-27.
It is the first overseas performance tour of the theater in response to the 2016 World Shakespeare Congress making four hundred years after the playwright's death.
The artists will give a perfromance at Victoria Theater on March 25 and have an exchange with Vietnamese students studying in Singapore on March 26.
Hamlet is a tragedy written by William Shakespeare at an uncertain date between 1599 and 1602. It is one of Shakespeare’s masterpieces, has been performed countless times at theaters worldwide in the past four centuries. The tragedy is a journey to find the truth to protect people’s life and dignity.
The play was earlier staged at Hanoi Opera House in November, 2015.
