Vietnam Poetry Day opens in Hanoi and HCMC

This year’s event themed “Nation’s Spring” aims to celebrate national sea and island sovereignty and mark the 60th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu victory.

Poets of the Vietnam Writers’ Association and members from poetry clubs and universities will join the event.

The event was opened with a poetry recital and performance by more than 30 clubs from universities in Northern provinces on February 13.

The event will run until February 15.

Ho Chi Minh City’s Vietnam Poetry Day also begins at the headquarter of  the Ho Chi Minh City Union of Literature and Arts Associations at 81 Tran Quoc Thao Street, District 3 on February 14.

A poetry performance by young poets concludes the event on February 15.
