Many local travel agencies in Ho Chi Minh City said the tourists who book tour on occasion of holidays are increasing suddenly from 15 to 20 percent higher than the same period last year. Last weeks, many outbound and inbound tours were clocked.

Travel agencies added that they have launched holidays’ tours since end of October and the price level is designed to remain unchanged. Eventhough, some domestic tours cost cheaper than from VND 2 to 5million compared to last year.
For instance, a four day tour linking Da Nang-Ba Na-Hoi An-La Vang-Phong Nha and Hue costs VND 5.3to 5.5million; four day tour to Da Lat is VND 2.5million (including bus tickets) and VND 4.5million (by airplane); a five day tour from Nha Trang to Phu Yen costs VND 3.5million and a special 3 day tour to Vinpearl Phu Quoc has a cost of VND7million.
Tours traveling to the northern highlands such as Ha Noi-Mu Cang Chai-Sapa-Dien Bien-Son La-Moc Chau-Mai Chau takes 6 day with a cost of VND 9.1million or a seven day tour from Ha Noi to Yen Tu-Ha Long-Sung Sot Cave-Titop island-Bai Dinh-Trang An costs VND 7million.

On the other hand, the low-cost carrier airlines continue launching the low-cost flights from Vietnam to Thailand, Cambodia, Singapore, helping local travel agencies make international tours at cheaper price.
Ms Tran Thi Bao Thu, representative of Fiditour said this year, Fiditour welcomes a rise of 25 to 28 percent tourists and Vietravel said that it has received around 13,000 tourists since Christmas and New Year seasons, an increase of 15 percent compared to last year while Saigontourist welcomes 15,000 tourists and having a rise of 15 percent.
Many tourists wonders if the cheaper price equate to cheap quality? Ms Thanh Tra, Manager of sale of Saigontourist said local travel agencies announce discounted domestic tours due to declining prices of gasoline. Besdies, they have planned in peak season.
