Underground road tunnel to be built in Hanoi

The People’s Committee of Hanoi approved a pre-feasibility study report on the construction of an underground road tunnel designed to cross Tran Nguyen Han and Chuong Duong Do streets in Hanoi.

The tunnel will be 15.7m wide and 3.2 m high and installed with flood gates designed to protect against flood in the entrances.
The project which is expected to begin from 2022-2024 with more than VND100 billion (US$4.2 million) in capital, aims to ensure traffic safety and reduce traffic congestion.
