The National Hydro Meteorological Forecasting Center has said that soon after moving into waters northwest of Luzon Island off the Philippine coast, Typhoon Bopha weakened into a low pressure zone.

The low pressure zone moved east southeast at 5-10km an hour and continued to abate on December 9.
Meantime, a cold front is expected to slam the northern region by tonight, December 10.
This will bring colder conditions in the northern region from December 11 and also affect the central region.
