Two thousands of tourists attend Hon Chen festival

More than two thousands of domestic and international tourists attended in Hon Chen Festival in Thua Thien Hue province from August 3-5.

 

The ceremony was celebrated on Ngoc Tran Mountain of Huong Tra town in Thua Thien Hue province with attending crowded boats and junks.

 

The festival aims to honor the Holy Mother Thien Y A Na who is believed to create land, trees, forest, woods, rice, corn and foods.

 

In addition, Hon Chen festival also expressed cultural beauty of the Vietnamese community on Huong River.

 

On the same day, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Thua Thien Hue province said that the provincial tourism attracted nearly 1,8 million tourists in the first seven months of this year, including 650,000 international tourists.
