In the first ten months of this year, around 10.47 million of foreign tourists toured to the Southeast Asian country. A year-on-year rise of 32.8 percent of Asian visitors arrived in Vietnam during ten months of this year while the number of tourists in major markets all leaped.
For the month of October, one million international holiday-makers arrived in Vietnam up 5 percent from September. This month is the seventh month that the number of international tourists arriving in the country reached one million in a month.
For instance, Chinese tourists hiked by 45.6 percent; South Korea rose by 53.9 percent; Japanese visitors up by 7.7 percent; Malaysian visitors rose by 17.2 percent; Thailand up by 12.7 percent and Singaporean up by 7.8 percent.
European numbers for the first ten months of 2017 were up by 18.1 percent year on year especially Russian tourists up by 38.3 percent.
Vietnam has seen a rise in visitors from Germany, United Kingdom, France, Italy and Spain who holding are exempted a Vietnam visa especially Spanish tourists with 20.6 percent. A 10.4 percent year-on-year soar of American visitors arrived in Vietnam.
To achieve the goal of welcoming 13 million international tourists this year, the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism has adopted all measures at the same time focusing on promotion campaign in major markets.
The sector all took part in international tourism fairs to exchange information with their counterparts in potential markets. Lately, tourism sector has taken heed to near potential markets such as China, South Korea, Japan and Russian.
Additionally, the sector took advantaged of APEC 2017 which will take place in the central city of Da Nang to promote the country’s tourism image to international friends to create its lasting mark and brand name for Vietnamese tourism.
