Third Coffee Festival kicks off in Central Highland

Tong Thi Phong, Deputy Chairwoman of the National Assembly attended the opening ceremony with more than 500 artists, actors, actresses and students.

At the opening ceremony, 11 art performances including street festivals, lion dance, elephant march and gong performance were held in the midst of the beautiful highlands of Dak Lak Province, the heartland of Vietnam’s coffee industry.

On the same day, a street carnival was held in Buon Ma Thuot City, attracting more than 800 craftsmen, 12 elephants, 10 carriages and 50 antique motorbikes and cars in a grand procession.

Visitors to the festival will enjoy world-renowned coffee in addition to getting the chance to experience the local coffee growing, harvesting and brewing culture.

Visitors will enhance their experience by taking in the 24th edition of the critically acclaimed musical extravaganza Duyen dang Vietnam (Charming Vietnam), to be held on March 13 and 14.

This is the first time that a music and fashion event will bring together many of Vietnam’s leading singers and models in a collaboration for the highland coffee festival.

The festival will last tell March 15.
