This year’s event marks 40 years since the fighting to protect the Northern border in 1979, toward the country's border.
Highlights of the event include the 4th International Conference On Promoting Vietnamese Literature, the opening ceremony of the 17th Vietnam Poetry Day and the 3rd International Poetry Festival.
Accordingly, include the 4th International Conference On Promoting Vietnamese Literature will take place in Hanoi on February 16. The opening ceremony of the 17th Vietnam Poetry Day will be organized at Van Mieu – Quoc Tu Giam (Temple of Literature) in Hanoi on February 17. The 3rd International Poetry Festival will be held in Quang Ninh province’s Ha Long City on February 18.
The closing ceremony of the event will be organized in Hanoi on February 20.
Started on Nguyen Tieu (the 15th day of the first lunar month) in 2003, the Vietnam Poetry Day has become a biggest poetry festival in the country. The festival is an opportunity for Vietnamese poetry lovers to enjoy famous poetry works by well known poets and to promote Vietnam’s beautiful and serene landscapes.
