Vietnam Airlines served nearly 9.4 million passengers in 2013, accounting for 46 percent of the total number of arrivals at Tan Son Nhat Airport this year.

The nation’s busiest airport has welcomed more than 20 million passengers this year; including nine million foreign travelers, presenting a year-on-year increase of 14 percent.

In 2013, 375,000 tons of cargo was transported via Tan Son Nhat Airport, an increase of 10 percent from 2012.

There are currently 44 airlines operating domestic and international flights at Tan Son Nhat International Airport.

A project to expand and upgrade both the international and domestic terminals to serve 25 million passengers each year and 600,000 tons of cargo is underway, with an aim to meet the increasing demand in tourism.
